Building Connection with Relational and Depth Psychotherapy
What Is Depth Psychotherapy?
Depth psychotherapy is a compassionate approach to healing that looks beneath the surface of everyday challenges to find the roots of what you’re experiencing. Rather than focusing only on symptoms by providing tools or techniques, depth work explores the subconscious patterns and early childhood experiences that quietly shape how you feel, think, and relate to others today.
Through this process, you create space for deeper self-awareness, healing, and transformation which ultimately helps you feel more connected to who you truly are.
Understanding the Roots of Your Story 🌿
Much of our emotional pain begins in childhood. The way we were responded to or not responded to by caregivers lays the blueprint for how we relate to ourselves and others. When those early needs for safety, love, and attunement weren’t fully met, we carry these protective patterns into adulthood.
Depth psychotherapy allows you to gently revisit these early experiences with curiosity and compassion. By making the unconscious conscious, you can begin to understand why certain triggers feel so intense, why certain patterns repeat and why some parts of you might still feel small, scared or unseen.
Working With the Subconscious and Inner Parts 🌑
One of the most powerful aspects of depth psychotherapy is learning to connect with your inner world — the parts of you that hold pain, protect you, or carry old beliefs.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you meet and understand these inner parts with compassion. Together, we create a relationship with these parts so they no longer have to run the show from the shadows. As you build a strong, grounded sense of Self, you can offer these parts the care and safety they’ve always needed.
Relational Healing 👥
Because much of our wounding happens in relationship, much of our healing must also happen in relationship. Through Relational Transactional Analysis, we gently explore how you relate to others including me in the therapy room. Together, we can notice old patterns as they arise in real time and experiment with new, healthier ways of connecting.
This relational focus helps you build trust, communicate more clearly, and feel more at ease in your most important relationships.
A Journey of Integration and Wholeness 🦋
Drawing on Jungian psychology, depth psychotherapy also honors the symbolic and spiritual dimensions of healing. Dreams, imagination and archetypes can become powerful guides, helping you discover meaning and a deeper sense of purpose in your life.
This work is not about becoming someone else, it’s about coming home to yourself. By bringing unconscious patterns into the light, you can step into a more integrated, authentic way of living.
