Frequently Asked Questions

What is somatic therapy, and how does it help with trauma?

Somatic therapy works through the body to help release the effects of trauma that words alone can’t reach. By gently tuning into sensations, movement, and the nervous system’s patterns, you can begin to process and integrate experiences that were once overwhelming. This helps restore regulation, safety, and connection to your body and emotions.

What happens in a session?

Each session is guided by what’s emerging in you that day. We might explore feelings, body sensations, or inner parts through conversation, somatic awareness, and guided reflection. The process is relational, compassionate, and responsive — helping you reconnect to your inner world and build new patterns of safety and self-trust.

How is this different from talk therapy?

Traditional talk therapy focuses mainly on thoughts and stories. My work integrates the body, emotions, and unconscious patterns using somatic therapy, Inner Child Work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Transactional Analysis, and Shadow Work. This combination allows deeper healing — addressing both the emotional and physiological roots of trauma.

What kinds of issues do you work with?

I specialise in trauma that arises from relational wounding — experiences of neglect, emotional disconnection, or childhood patterns that continue to shape adult relationships. I also support people navigating anxiety, boundaries, self-worth, and the integration of fragmented or exiled parts of the self.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. I work with clients online, offering the same depth and safety as in-person sessions. The online space allows you to access somatic and emotional healing from wherever you are, in a setting that feels comfortable and secure.

How do I know if this work is right for me?

If you’re longing for deeper self-understanding, tired of repeating old patterns, or sensing that your mind and body are disconnected, this work can help. It’s gentle yet profound — inviting emotional healing, nervous system balance, and inner harmony through the integration of all parts of self.

How do I begin?

You can book an introductory session through my website. It’s a chance to meet, explore what’s happening for you, and see if we feel like a good fit. There’s no pressure — just a compassionate space to begin
