The Wild Within

Community Guidelines

The Wild Within is a space for women to explore, share, reflect, create and connect.

It is a living community rather than a course or therapy group. There is room here for depth, honesty, vulnerability, humour, curiosity and the full range of human experience, while recognising that a community needs clear boundaries in order to remain safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone.

These guidelines exist to help us create and maintain that space together.

1. This is not a therapy group

The Wild Within is a space for self-reflection, exploration, support, connection and shared experience.

Although the community draws on psychological, somatic, archetypal and depth-oriented perspectives, it is not psychotherapy and is not intended to provide therapy, diagnosis, crisis support or treatment.

Please do not use the community to process an acute crisis or place responsibility for your emotional wellbeing onto other members.

If you require therapeutic, medical or crisis support, please seek this from an appropriate professional or service.

2. Self-awareness and personal responsibility

You are responsible for your own choices, boundaries, wellbeing and participation within the community.

Please share from your own experience rather than presenting your perspective as universal truth. You do not need to have everything figured out; curiosity, openness and self-awareness are valued over perfection.

You are also responsible for deciding what you do and do not wish to engage with. You are always free to step away from a conversation, take some space or simply observe.

3. Share honestly, but do not trauma dump

There is room here for difficult experiences, vulnerability and the more challenging parts of being human.

However, please be mindful of trauma dumping: lengthy or highly intense disclosures that ask other members to hold, process or respond to material beyond what a community space can reasonably contain.

If a post is primarily a crisis, a detailed account of traumatic events or an urgent request for emotional support, it is likely better suited to a different form of support.

Depth is welcome. Emotional responsibility matters too.

4. No advice-seeking or unsolicited advice

The Wild Within is not a space for asking other members to tell you what you should do, nor for giving unsolicited advice.

You are welcome to share your own experience and what has been helpful to you, rather than directing another person towards a particular course of action.

Before responding to another woman, consider whether she is actually asking for input. Sometimes being witnessed, heard and understood is more valuable than being given an answer.

5. Encourage agency and healthy connection

The community exists to support agency, self-awareness and healthy connection.

Please do not encourage dependency, rescuing, emotional enmeshment, manipulation, hostility, isolation or other dynamics that undermine another person's autonomy or wellbeing.

The community is not a substitute for professional support, intimate relationships or an individual's wider support network.

6. Respect the space and the women within it

Please communicate with kindness, thoughtfulness and respect.

Different perspectives and disagreements are welcome. Personal attacks, shaming, bullying, contempt, hostility, harassment and deliberately inflammatory behaviour are not.

You do not need to agree with another woman in order to treat her with respect.

7. Leave room for other voices

The Wild Within is a shared space.

Please be mindful of how frequently and how much you post. Very lengthy posts, repetitive posting or repeatedly dominating conversations can make it more difficult for other women to participate.

You do not need to respond to everything, and you do not need to have the last word.

8. No promotion or solicitation

The Wild Within is not a space for advertising businesses, products, services, courses, events or other commercial ventures unless specifically invited to do so.

Please do not use the community to solicit clients, build a mailing list, recruit members, promote external groups or direct members away from The Wild Within.

This includes contacting members privately for promotional or commercial purposes.

9. Protect what is shared here

Members may share personal experiences, thoughts and stories in the understanding that they are being shared within a private community.

Please do not screenshot, copy, download, reproduce, publish, forward or share another member's posts, comments, words or personal stories outside the community.

Do not identify another member or share their contribution elsewhere, including anonymously, without their explicit permission.

The same principle applies to live sessions and conversations. What another woman shares is hers to take back into the world, not ours to distribute.

10. Respect original work and intellectual property

The Wild Within may contain original writing, teachings, meditations, rituals, audio, visualisations and other creative material.

You are welcome to engage with this material for your own personal exploration. However, please do not reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, teach, package or repurpose it elsewhere without permission.

The community is a place to experience and explore the work, not a source of content to build something else from.

11. No spam or disruptive behaviour

Please do not flood the community with repeated posts, irrelevant links, unsolicited messages or content that does not belong within the space.

If you are unsure whether something is appropriate to post, please ask before sharing it.

12. Participate in good faith

You do not need to be loud, prolific or online every day.

Some women will share frequently. Others may listen quietly for a while before finding their voice. Both are welcome.

What matters is that participation is genuine, respectful and in good faith.

The Wild Within comes alive through participation: sharing, responding, witnessing, listening, asking questions and allowing ourselves to be seen.

13. Your boundaries matter too

You never have to disclose something simply because another woman has.

You do not have to answer a question, join a conversation, attend a live session or share something personal.

You are welcome to participate at your own pace and within your own boundaries.

14. Confidentiality

Everyone is expected to respect the privacy of what is shared within the community. However, no online community can guarantee absolute confidentiality.

Please use your own judgement when deciding what personal or identifying information you choose to share.

If you would not want something repeated outside the community, consider carefully whether you wish to post it.

15. Looking after the community

The Wild Within is intended to be a warm, thoughtful and participatory environment.

If something feels inappropriate, concerning or uncomfortable, please contact Jennifer privately rather than attempting to resolve an issue publicly.

Where necessary, posts or comments may be removed, conversations may be closed, or membership may be suspended or ended where someone's behaviour conflicts with these guidelines or compromises the wellbeing or integrity of the wider community.

In the event that these guidelines are breached, membership may be terminated without prior notice or explanation. Any recurring payment will be cancelled and access to the community will be immediately revoked. No refund will be provided for the remaining portion of a paid membership period, including where the full month has already been paid.

These boundaries are not intended to restrict healthy self-expression. They exist to protect the quality, integrity and wellbeing of the space we are creating together.

By participating in the Wild Within Community you are acknowledging agreement with the above terms.
